IJLSS welcomes original research across all fields of law and strategic studies. The following represents the journal's primary areas, though submissions addressing related or emerging fields are also considered.

• 1Originality & ExclusivityManuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere. Submission implies the author's confirmation that all authors have approved the work. All submissions are screened for plagiarism using industry-standard software. The maximum accepted similarity is 15% (preferably 10%).
• 2Format & LanguageSubmit in Microsoft Word (.docx). Use 12pt Times New Roman, double-spaced, with 2.5cm margins. Language: English only. Non-native English speakers are encouraged to have manuscripts reviewed by a native speaker or professional editing service before submission.
• 3Word CountResearch articles: 6,000–12,000 words (including footnotes, excluding abstract/bibliography). Case commentaries: 2,000–5,000 words. Policy analyses: 3,000–7,000 words. Review articles: 4,000–8,000 words. Book reviews: 1,000–2,500 words.
• 4Abstract & KeywordsInclude a structured abstract of 200–300 words covering: research question, methodology, findings, and contribution. Provide 5–8 keywords. Author details (name, affiliation, ORCID, email, 100-word biography) must appear on a separate title page only — the main manuscript must be fully anonymised for double-blind review.
• 5Citation Style — OSCOLAIJLSS uses the Oxford University Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA). Footnotes or endnotes are required (in-text citations are not accepted). All references must be complete, accurate, and consistent. A bibliography is not required if footnotes/endnotes are complete.
• 6StructureArticles should include: Title; Abstract; Keywords; Introduction; Main Body (with clear headings); Conclusion; Footnotes. Tables, figures, and diagrams must be numbered, titled, and cited. All non-English terms must be italicised and translated.
• 7Peer Review ProcessAll manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent international reviewers. Authors will be notified within 8–12 weeks. Revised manuscripts must be accompanied by a response letter addressing each reviewer comment point by point.
• 8Copyright & Open AccessUpon acceptance, authors sign a Copyright Agreement. IJLSS publishes all articles open access. Authors retain copyright under a Creative Commons licence (CC BY 4.0). No Article Processing Charge (APC) applies for the inaugural volume (2026).
• 9DOI & PublicationAll accepted articles are assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) via Zenodo and published on the IJLSS website. Proofs are sent to the corresponding author for final approval before publication. Post-acceptance editorial revisions may apply.
• 10Ethics DisclosureAuthors must disclose all conflicts of interest, funding sources, and data availability. Research involving human subjects must confirm ethical approval from a recognised body. IJLSS follows COPE guidelines for all editorial decisions including retraction, correction, and misconduct.
